William Robert Ellis, 57, of Wharton, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016, in Rosenberg.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will follow starting at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Pace Stancil Chapel with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery.
William was born July 23, 1959 in Pasadena, to parents; Joe and Elizabeth Dagley Ellis, a former resident of Kemah, and has resided in Wharton for the past eight years. He was a truck driver for Mid-State Packaging and former truck driver with Enterprise Trucking and A&R Trucking. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing golf, and was a proud member of AA with 29 years of sobriety.
Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of eight years: Edith Kempf Rowlands of Wharton, her children: Caroline York and husband Jeff of El Campo and Patricia Cullar and husband Jared of Wharton, brother: Michael Ellis of Palacios, sister: Jody Sellers of Fulshear, his animal companion: Precious, and numerous other relatives and friends.
