William "Ray" Jones

William Ray Jones, age 72 of Cleveland, Texas passed away Friday, March 13, 2020. He was born January 3, 1948 in Anderson, South Carolina to parents Glenn and Margaret Blackwell Jones who preceded him in death along with his brothers-in-law, Don, Michael, Jeff, and Tino; and his beloved rescued dog, Doc.

Ray had lived in the Cleveland area for 38 years, and was retired from Union Tank Car. He enjoyed playing cards and relaxing with a cigar and drink. Ray loved NASCAR and his dog. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Kathryn Jones; sons, John Jones and wife Kimberly, and Sean Jones and wife Chanel; brothers, Glenn Jones and Donald Jones; sisters, Eunice Owen, Ann Ratajczak, Doris Ratajczak, and Joyce Odegard and husband Eric; grandchildren, Meagan Jones, Devin Caster, Nathan Jones and Tiffany, Austin Jones and Josie, Carson Jones and Syndarah, and Clay Jones and Montana; great-grandchildren, Luella Jones and 2 on the way; along with numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2020 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with Deacon Larry Terrell officiating. Interment will follow at Ryan Cemetery.
