William "Ken" Keenon Manning

William Keenan Manning, 55, of Livingston died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at home. Ken, as he was known, was born January 22, 1956 and was reared in Dayton, TX until graduating from Dayton High School. He then attended the University of Texas where he graduated in 1981 with a Bachelors of Business Administration. Ken had two brothers, John Michael Manning and Jack Markham Manning, both of whom preceded him in death. Also deceased are his mother, Edna Ruth “Cookie” Manning and his father Dr. Jack C. Manning D.D.S. Ken is survived by his wife, Bambi Lyn Fincher-Manning, his stepson Austin K. Fincher and his wife Sara and grandchildren Andrea and Marcus all of Shepherd, TX and his nephews Stephen and Craig Manning. Pallbearers are Timmy Wayne Williamson, Garry Lesser, David Burns, Tracy LaBuff, Kim Graves, and Larry Clamon. James "Doc" Hall is an honorary pallbearer.
Ken was the owner of many small businesses and held sales and management positions in the farm supply, restaurant and housing industries. But Ken’s true passion was ranching. He was an active cattle trader in his early years and later in his life raised quarter horses. He loved nothing more than working and caring for his livestock at the Ken Manning ranch, otherwise known as the “Tick Farm.”
Services will be held at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, TX on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Livingston, TX in the family plot at Forest Hill Cemetery, 1800 South Washington, Livingston, Texas 77351.
