William Deavours Riley

William Deavours “Pete” Riley, age 71 and a resident of Cleveland Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Kingwood Medical Center. He was born September 30, 1941 in Jasper, Mississippi to Joe and Katie Lou Riley who preceded him in death. He was a former resident of Baytown, Texas and a retired brick layer from Linbeck Co. He loved horses and the outdoors and especially spending time with his family. He will be remembered lovingly. Survivors include his loving wife Janett C. “Lynn” Riley; son William Deavours “Pete Jr.” Riley Jr.; daughters Shelley Johnson and husband Calvin, Melissa Lewis; brothers Willie Joe “Bill” Riley and wife Mary Ann, Buddy Riley and wife Lula Maye; sisters Katherine Smith, Donnie Holifield and husband Jim; grandchildren Ashley Johnson, Shauna Riley, Matthew Johnson, Micah Riley, Erica Riley, Cody Riley, Alex McNeal, Jacob McNeal, Kylee Stewart, Sklyer Stewart; great-grandchild Logan Morrison; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other treasured family members and faithful friends. Visitation will be held Friday, June 21, 2013, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Bill Riley will preside over funeral services being held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens.
