William C. "Bill" Ambrose

William C. “Bill” Ambrose, 68, of Groves, TX passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 10, 2016, at the Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton TX, with burial following thereafter. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton TX.

Bill was born December 27, 1947 in New Albany, Indiana, to parents; William E. and Christine White Ambrose, He was a former resident of Dayton, TX. and has resided in Groves, TX for the past seven years. He was a graduate of 1967 of Foley High School, Foley Ala. He attended Lee College, and was a Military Veteran of the US Army. Bill worked as a radiographer for Bethlehem Steel, US Steel, and Jindal Steel. He also enjoyed trains, bowling, motorcycles, Betty Boop and participating in Mardi Gras.

Mr. Ambrose was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 28 years: Barbara J. Campbell Ambrose, and brother: Robert A. Coe. He is survived by his significant other: Christine Pottorff, sons: William “Eddie” Ambrose and Jimmy Ambrose, stepsons: Johnny Farmer and Everett Farmer, stepdaughters: Cindy Moore and Katherine Singleton, sisters: Betty Diaz, Edna Beard, and Bonnie Ambrose, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
