Weaver Warren Stripling, age 82 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018. He was born October 18, 1935 in Nacogdoches, Texas to parents Edgar and Rosa Stripling who preceded him in death along with his brother, WC Stripling; and grandson, Billy Wayne (BW) Stripling, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Stripling; daughter, Janet Donovan and husband Paul; sons, Billy Wayne Stripling, Warren Stripling and wife Mindy; sisters, Mary Alice Hicks, Louise Griswold, Juanita Fuller and husband Hollis, Virginia Matlock and husband Joe; brother, Bryant Stripling; grandchildren, Angela Kinder and husband Robert, Melissa Jones and husband Josh, Sarah Stripling and fiancé Paul, Andrew Donovan and wife Sarah, Caitlin Donovan, Jessica Hatton and husband Travis, Toby Stripling and wife Jane; great-grandchildren, Carter Jones, Jackson Jones, Will Sheppard, Brady Sheppard, George Donovan, Edith Donovan, Brooke Hatton, Laney Hatton, Jewel Stripling and Cami Stripling; numerous other relatives and friends.
Weaver was a cattle auctioneer for 33 years. He also served as the County Commissioner for Precinct 2 in San Jacinto County for 8 years.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2018 at Shepherd Church of Christ, Shepherd, Texas. Interment will follow at Farley Chapel Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shepherd Church of Christ 51 Bell St, Shepherd, TX 77371 or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/.
