Wayne Wesley Pickett Sr., 51, of Splendora, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010. He was born in Alton, Illinois on September 26, 1958 to Wayne and Dora Pickett. Survivors include his loving wife, Vivian Mae Pickett; sons, Judson Pickett, Wayne Pickett Jr. and wife, Tamara, Dewey Brown and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Paula Johnson; grandchildren, Michael Judson Pickett, Alyx Conner Pickett, Taylor Lynn Pickett, Evie Brown, Sean Brown, Brandon Brown, Renea Cocker, Arnold Cockor; great-grandchildren, Le’Shay, Alex, Jasmine, Danny; brothers, John Barrett and wife, Amie, Howard Barrett; sisters, Manessa Ferguson, Mary Lee Pyle, Donna Green; mom, Vivian Winslow; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving and caring family members and treasured friends throughout the years. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 9, 2010, 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Chuek Hanley will preside over graveside services held Monday, May 10, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas. Honorary pallbearers include John Barrett, Dewey Brown, Judson Pickett, Arnold Cocker, Wayne Pickett Jr., and Howard Barrett.
