Wayne Patrick “Pat” White, 87, of Dayton passed away Friday, July 23, 2010. He was born August 30, 1922 in Cache, Oklahoma to parents: Houston and Alma Green White. He was a lifelong resident of Kenefick where he worked for Croft Logging as a truck driver and was known as Paw-Paw Pat to the community. He is a member of the Assembly of God Church, enjoys barbequing, gardening, and his chickens.
Services for Mr. White will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Dayton with Rev. Jimmy Charles officiating. Interment will follow at Ryan Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday evening at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian White, James P. White, Kirk P. White, Norman White, Jr., Tracy Jo White, and Troy Allen White. Honorary Pallbearers are Delbert Croft, Roy Croft and Scrap Croft.
Mr. White was preceded in death by father: Houston White; mother: Alma Green Robison; step-father: Jim Robison; his wife of 66 years: Gladys Simmons White ; son Curtis D. White; brother: Lyndol Robison; and sister: Betty Cole. He is survived by sons: Norman White and wife Patsy of Dayton, James White and wife Sissy of Dayton, Gail White and wife Lynda of Dayton; daughter: Beverly Sackett and husband Jerry of Dayton; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother: Joe Robison of Dayton; sisters: Jimmie Terrell of Dayton and Viola “Bootsie” Tanner of Colorado; also numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
