Waymond Wayland Conley (Wayne), 82 of Coldspring, Texas went home to be with the Lord February 19, 2019. He was born November 2, 1936 to Ernest and Jessie Conley in Merkel, Texas (Mulberry Canyon).
He is survived by his daughters Yvonne Shelnutt of Roswell, Georgia and Tiffany Conley of Coldspring, Texas; granddaughters Victoria Brown, Melissa Tenzer and Kristina Aune; great grandchildren Gabriel O’Keefe, Skylar O’Keefe, Nicholas Aune and Silas Kriedner. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Jessie Riggan Conley; beloved wife Theresa Pawlik Conley; son Alan Conley; brothers Berdon Conley, Deverle Conley and Dewey Conley; and sisters Eva Laverne Conley, Hazel Phillips and Gloria Dean Stone.
Wayne enjoyed life to the fullest, never met a stranger and was a generous and caring friend to all. He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. He was a hard working man with many talents. His occupations included home construction, truck driver, home remodeling sales for J.C. Penny, real estate agent and San Jacinto County Commissioner Precinct 4, 1991-1994. His hobbies and favorite past times included spoiling his grandchildren, socializing, woodworking, hunting, fishing, poker, dominoes and in his younger years, flying private planes.
Wayne’s memorial service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Coldspring United Methodist Church, 1 Cemetery Road, Coldspring, Texas, 936-653-2287
