Waymon Bennett Stanley, age 89 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015. He was born July, 7, 1925 in Hemphill, Texas to parents Willie J. Stanley and Jewel Bellamy Stanley who preceded him in death along with his wife of 63 years, Billie Jo Stanley. Mr. Stanley was a highly decorated WWII Army Combat Veteran who received a purple heart and five bronze battle stars for battles at Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes (Battle of the Bulge), Central Europe and Rhineland. He worked for 50+ years in the contract drilling industry and enjoyed fishing very much Survivors include his daughters, Jeani Fuller and Cindy Sackett; sons, David Stanley and Johnny Stanley; grandchildren, Shane Fuller, Lee Stanley, Michael Stanley, Dwayne Fuller, Nicholas Stanley, Waymon Stanley, Kelvin Sackett, Elizabeth Stanley and Alex Linke; great-grandchildren, Matt Fuller, Hannah Fuller, Christian Stanley, Constantine Stanley, and Caleb Stanley; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other cherished family members and friends. Rev. Daren Smith will preside over graveside services held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas.
