Wanda Ruth Mikeska

Wanda Ruth Mikeska, age 78, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at her home. She was born January 23, 1934 in Liberty County, Texas to parents Dick and Faye Buckner who preceded her in death along with her daughter Deborah Elaine Richardson, sister Beatrice Griffith, and her brothers Jack Buckner and Doyle Buckner. Mrs. Mikeska was retired from the Conroe Courier Newspaper. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1839 in Cleveland and loved dancing. She was a devoted wife, tireless mother and grandmother, loving sister, and steadfast friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered lovingly by her husband Woody Mikeska; daughter Terri Street; sons Len Richardson and Dickey Richardson; sister Lorene Fielder; grandchildren Casey Richardson, Paul Richardson, Jake Richardson, Katie Richardson, Brenda Atkinson, and Bubba Coburn; great-grandchild Ava Richardson; niece and nephews Glenda White, Dan Buckner, Dub Buckner, Landis Buckner, Charlie Meadows, David Griffith, and Larry Buckner; along with so many treasured friends throughout the years. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Ryan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas. Pallbearers include Casey Richardson, Paul Richardson, Jake Richardson, Dickey Richardson, Len Richardson, and David Griffith.
