Dr. Walter E. “Ed†Robinson, DVM, 71, of Fort Worth passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. He was born in Liberty, Texas to parents Woodrow Richard "Dick" and Blanche Page Robinson and was a longtime resident of Beaumont. He attended South Park High School where he was a proud running back for the Greenies, graduating in 1959. Ed continued his education at Lamar Tech and coached at Port Neches Groves. He then attended Texas A & M where he received his Veterinary of Science and Doctorate of Veterinary degrees. Returning to Liberty Dr. Robinson opened the Liberty Veterinary Clinic later moving to the Huffman and Atascocita area where he practiced until 1995. During the past 10 years he worked in Harlingen and Colorado before his retirement. Colorado was his place. Golf was his game. Dogs were his love. Services for Dr. Robinson will be 10:00 a.m., Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Cameron King officiating. Interment will follow at Heirlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service on Sunday morning. Dr. Robinson was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his mother: Blanche Robinson of Dayton; his wife: Nan Moore Robinson of Fort Worth; his son: David Edward Robinson and wife Melanie of Leander; his daughter: Melissa Carol Robinson of Benbrook; his grandchildren: Balin and Chase Robinson of Leander; the mother of his children: Janice Earnest Robinson of Fort Worth; also numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
