Walter E. Hanagriff, 67, of Crystal Beach, died Sunday, October 31, 2010, at the Triumph Hospital Clear Lake, in Webster.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2010, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Walter was born August 31, 1943 in Baton Rouge, LA, to parents; Dudley Hanagriff and Monteal Miller Hanagriff, a former resident of Hardin, and has resided in Crystal Beach for the past seven years. He was a graduate of Istrouma High School class of 1961 and LSU class of 1967, a retired CPA for Swaim and Hanagriff of Liberty from 1980 to his retirement in 2009, a former secretary and parade committee member for the Trinity Valley Exposition, and member of the Magnolia Ridge Country Club. He also enjoyed cooking, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, watching LSU games, and sitting on his deck watching the gulf.
Mr. Hanagriff was preceded in death by his father: Dudley Hanagriff and mother: Monteal Miller Hall. He is survived by his wife of 12 years: Debbie Fredenburg Hanagriff of Crystal Beach, sons: Roger Hanagriff and wife Jena of Huntsville, Mark Hanagriff of Huntsville, and Jake Ducote of China, grandchildren: Boyd, Samuel, Kaia and Kane, brother: Ronnie Hanagriff and wife Suzanne of Houston, niece: Emily, his dogs: Ziggy and Tuck, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
