Wallace Wray Whittaker

Wray died peacefully on December 27, 2014. He was a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.

He was born in Houston, on July 30, 1926. He served in the Navy in World War II. After the war, he graduated from Texas A&M University, where he was co-captain of the Texas Aggie football team; class of 50.

He is survived by his wife Nella, with whom he spent 39 happy years as a cattle rancher in East Texas. His surviving blended family includes Debbie McFall and husband Chuck, Keith Whittaker and wife Pam, Barry Whittaker and wife Jamie, Priscilla Rushlow and husband Joe, Patti Rodgers, April Plunkett and husband Gilbert, Ginger Biehl and husband David. Also surviving is a host of precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Guiceland Cemetery in Grapeland, Texas just across the road from the ranch he loved.
