Wallace Rodger Williams, Sr., 78, of Splendora passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at home. He was born July 2, 1936 in Colfax, Louisiana to parents, Lonnie Adron and Gladys Roshto Williams. He was a retired brick mason and had lived in Cleveland for the past 15 years after moving from Montgomery. Roger knew a lot of people in the Cleveland community that he considered his friends. He will be missed by all, loved ones, and friends. Services for Mr. Williams will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Rosewood Cemetery in Porter. Visitation will be 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. before the service on Saturday at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter: Cheryl Lynn Hargraves of Cleveland; sons: Ronald Allen Williams of Lebanon, TN, Wallace Roger Williams, Jr. of Cleveland, and Paul Anthony Williams of Splendora; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters: Ellen Kuhl of Liberty and Winnie Garcia of Groves; brother: Dale Dewayne Hardy of Dayton; three nephews and two nieces; other relatives and a host of friends.
