Vivian Blanche Winslow was born on September 23, 1925 in Houston, Texas and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 27, 2010, at the age of 84 years 8 months and 3 days. Vivian was preceded in death by Luther, her husband of 56 years of marriage; oldest son, Luther James; two brothers, J.B. Hall and Mahlon Hall; and son-in-law, Wayne “Mike” Pickett. She is survived by two sons, Thomas Winslow and wife, Reba of Trinity, Texas, Walter Winslow and wife, Betty of Many, Louisiana; daughter, Vivian Pickett of Splendora, Texas; sisters, Geneva Winslow of Woodville, Texas, Reatha Carter of Houston, Texas, seven grandsons, Barry Downing and wife, Danielle of Woodbridge, Virginia, Michael Winslow and wife, Cathy of Porter, Texas, Charlie Winslow and wife, Pam of Pinehurst, Texas, Wayne Pickett and Tamara of Jacksonville, Florida, Judson Pickett of Conroe, Texas; five granddaughters, Cheryl Salee of Huntsville, Texas, Robin Mitchell and husband, Alton of Robeline, Louisiana, Theresa Majors and husband, Lonnie of Cleveland, Texas, Brenda Cobb and husband, Darren of Noble, Louisiana, Paula Johnson of Splendora, Texas; Twenty-four great-grandchildren; six (plus) great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and loved ones. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2010, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Mike Hall will preside over funeral services held Wednesday, June 30, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will be held Friday, July 2, 2010, 9:00 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
