Virginia Lucille Platt-Murphy

Virginia L. Platt-Murphy, 62, of Dayton, died Friday, February 24, 2012, at her residence. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, March 1, 2012, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Virginia was born September 23, 1949 in El Paso, to parents; T. R. and Christine Carroll Turley, a former resident of Pasadena, and current resident of Dayton. She was a graduate of the South Houston High School class of 1967 and a former sales clerk for Dollar General. Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband: L. Wayne Murphy of Dayton, son: Curtis Ray Platt of Dayton, granddaughter: Christian Platt, sisters: Susan Haywood and husband Darrell of Atascocita, Debbie Barron and husband Wayne of Houston, Faye Degetaire and husband Richard of Shepherd, and Patty McDonald and husband Wayne of Shepherd, and numerous nephews, other relatives, and friends.
