Violet Hood

Violet (Pete) Hood “Mamaw Pete”, age 81, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away June 27, 2011. She was born in Humble, Texas on October 10, 1929 to parents, Steve R. and Mary M. Carter who preceded her in death along with her first husband, Harvey Wilson Hester Sr.; second husband, Hugh Hood; brothers, George Mims, Bill Mims, Earl Mims, Thurman Carter, and Melvin Carter; sisters, Evelane Carter, Alzada Enmon, Joyce Juanita Tullos, and Ruth Wells. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2011 at Cleveland Memorial Park Pavilion, Cleveland, Texas. Survivors include her sons, Harvey Wilson Hester Jr. and wife, Judy and Glenn Allen Hood and wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Kammy and Jamal Bright, April Bryant, Zachary and Melissa Hood, Jeremy Hood, Courtney Hood, Brea and Chad Wright, and Cory Hester; great-grandchildren, Johnathon and Amber Vallejo, Stacianna, Mariah and Shania Bryant, Breanna and Ashlyn Hood, Brianna and Isaiah Hood, and Haylee Wright; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and faithful friends.
