Vernon Talmadge Martin

Vernon Talmadge Martin, age 79 of Splendora, Texas, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017. He was born November 25, 1937 in Monticello, Arkansas to parents Ida and John Martin who preceded him in death along with his brother, Charles Martin.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Martin; daughters, Kimberly Hopson and husband Ed Hopson, Jr., Kay Lynn Martin and partner Mary Kelly; granddaughter, Tiffany Hendry and husband Kevin; great-grandchildren, Corey Howard, Chloe, Kaidince and Nathaniel Hendry; numerous nieces, nephews and close supportive friends.

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 8, 2017 at Pace Stancil Chapel with interment to follow at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens.
