Obituary Velma Carlene Nickerson Velma Carlene Nickerson, 73, of Cleveland, Texas passed away Sunday August 24, 2014 in Kingwood, Texas. Velma was born August 19, 1941 in Houston, Texas to her parents; Carlton Morris Banks and Velma Wilson Banks. Mrs. Nickerson was a retired LVN. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, English Lamar Nickerson. Graveside service for Mrs. Nickerson will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday August 28, 2014 at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens in Cleveland, David Ratliff officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland prior to the service. Velma is survived by her daughters, Melinda Gayle Barnes and Sheila Jones; son Ricky Lynn Nickerson; grandchildren, Julie Hernandez, Kelly Nickerson, Richard T. Barnes, III, Jennifer N. Barnes, David Reeves, Mandy Buchanan, James Crosby and Clinton Crosby; great-grandchildren, Marcus Hernandez, Matthew Hernandez, Nicholas Hernandez, Jacob Black, Amaya and Aiden Barnes, Dakota, Levi, and Ad’ve Reeves, Kaitlyn, Hailey, Jerry and Allyson Munson, Briauna, Vaden, Lawrence, and Sean Patrick Buchanan, other relatives and friends.
