Velma Arlean Lalonde

Velma Arlean LaLonde, age 84 and a resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 in Shepherd, Texas. She was born January 11, 1929 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her father Robert Eliston Bland; mother Olive Almeda Finley; step-father Dan Finley; and her sister Virginia McCloskey. Survivors include her sons Alton Bland and wife Nancy Gail, Jerry Cooper; daughters Wynona Drake and husband Hollie, Arlean Posinski and husband Leon; daughter-in-law Joann Cooper; grandchildren Robert Gore, Billy Gore, Benny Corsey, Lisa Posinski, Angie Posinski, Clayton Drake, Toby Drake, Melinda Drake, Jonie Drake, LaRinda Joy Mozerell, Luther Alton Bland II, Terry Eugene Bland, and Javy Cooper; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other cherished family members and faithful friends. Bro. Derral Shelton presided over a memorial service held Wednesday, June 19, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.
