Tommy Lee Morton, age 61 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019. He was born May 8, 1958 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his son, Tommy Morton; and brother, Teddy Lynn Morton.
Who was Tommy Morton?
Tommy loved his wife Joni, son Jesse, his grandkids, family and friends. He was the type of man who would do anything for anyone, never expecting anything in return.
Tommy was a mentor to many co-workers, as well as many of his son’s friends. Always willing to give advice when needed or a well-deserved butt chewing if necessary. He had lasting influence on so many people. He loved to pick and play, enjoyed a good joke and having a good time. He loved the Texas Longhorns. And he had recently discovered a new hobby, playing golf with his son Jesse.
Tommy was a true outdoorsman that loved fishing. And he was one who hunted truly to feed his family. He didn’t know the meaning of the word quit. He kept on pushing even when life got hard. He would keep going, keeping his nose to the grindstone to support the ones he loved.
Tommy’s greatest joy in life was his family. He loved them fiercely and would do anything for them. He never got over the loss of his son Tommy Lee.
So remember and take with you all that Tommy said, did and taught you through the years. And keep his memory alive in you always.
