Thomas Jefferson “Tommy” Hightower, age 92 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018. He was born August 4, 1925 in Liberty County, Texas to parents Samuel W. Hightower and Viola Hill Hightower who preceded him in death along with his son, Cameron Hightower; brothers, Simon and Lewis; and sisters, Nancy Dorsey and Dorras Torres.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Hightower; daughter, Linda McLain and husband Ron; grandchildren, Eddie Hargrove, Jeff Hargrove, Kelli Bernal and Amy Grizzaffi; great-grandchildren, Jacob Hargrove, Cameron Bernal, Kati Burleigh, Anthony Grizzaffi and Rebeccah Grizzaffi; great-great-grandchildren, Stryder McIntosh and Beau Burleigh; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m., - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 12, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Wells Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
