Thomas Jefferson Anderson was born July 18, 1922 in Highlands, Texas and left this world July 2, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Teddy Jo Burnett Anderson, and his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Tom, also known as Andy, and as Chick during WWII, was a veteran of the CBI campaign, serving as a Surgical Tech in the Army. After working many years for Sinclair Oil/ARCO in Pasadena, he retired to the home he and Teddy built in Coldspring. He loved fishing and was an avid golfer. He played at the Texaco course in Houston before moving to the Coldspring area, playing and marshaling at Cape Royale. A longtime member of Coldspring Methodist Church and choir, he also sang with the Community Choir during Christmas celebrations. He was a founding member of the Coldspring Lions Club as well as a lifetime member of the Masons.
He is survived by his children, Sandra Lee Cluck and Thomas J. Anderson; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 7, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery at Coldspring.
