Thomas H. “Tom” Knight, 85, of Trinity, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016, at the Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Cleveland Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.
Tom was born February 25, 1931 in Romayor, to parents; Bill Knight and Mable Cude, and has resided in Trinity for the past eight years. He was a graduate of Cleveland High School, veteran of the US Marine Corps, and an owner and operator of an oilfield drilling service. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, gardening, and playing cards.
Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his father: Bill Knight, mother: Marie Cude Lee, son: Eric Knight, brothers: Charles Ray Knight, Claude Knight, Earl Knight, and Bill Knight, Jr., and sister: Louise Lolly. He is survived by his wife of 22 years: Frances Collins Knight, son: Thomas H. Knight and wife Jennifer, daughters: Luella Carol Knight and Vickie Lynn Johnson, stepdaughter: Cathy Marx and husband Paul, brother: Robert Knight, grandchildren: Jordon, Tommy, Teddy, Kyle, Whitney, Shannon, and Hollie, great-granddaughter: Jerrah, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
