Theresa Marie Ubnoskye Zarsky, 93, of Dayton passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013. She was born March 3, 1920 in Plantersville, Texas to parents Frank Ubnoskye and Helen Tomkewich Ubnoskye and had lived in Dayton since 1938 before moving to Friendswood in 2007. Mrs. Zarsky was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Altar Guild, and Food Pantry of St. Anne's Catholic Mission in the Eastgate Community. She worked for Father Fee and Father Nolan for over 24 years. Theresa touched many lives through the years working for families in Dayton. Theresa enjoyed cooking, gardening, and charity work. On Thursday evening, August 8th from 5pm to 7pm, there will be a public viewing at Dayton Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. At 7pm, a Rosary will be said in loving memory of Theresa. On Friday, August 9th at 10am, a Catholic Mass and burial will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Mission Church in Eastgate Community. Interment will follow at the Eastgate Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Zarsky was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward Zarsky of 20 years, two daughters Mary Ann and Betty Jean Zarsky and the oldest son, Leon Zarsky, siblings Charlie Ubnoskye, Albert Ubnoskye, Viola Warzon and Louise Smith. She is survived by her son: Raymond Zarsky and wife Gloria of Friendswood; her daughters: Frances Zarsky Svatek and husband George of Temple; Linda Zarsky Payne and husband Dan of Santa Clara, CA; grandchildren: Brad Svatek, Pam Svatek Tomme and husband Chris, Chris Zarsky and wife Sarah, and Lisa Zarsky Williams and husband Steve; great-grandchildren: Lauren, Nicholas, Brayden, and Allyson Williams, Lucas, Olivia, and Zachary Zarsky; sister: Katie Smith of Plantersville; numerous friends, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
