Henry Land

Theran Henry Land was born on September 8, 1930, in San Saba County, Texas, to James and Hatie Land. He passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 16, 2025

After serving honorably in the United States Air Force, Henry pursued his passion for aviation as an A&P Mechanic. His career began with Texas International Airlines, which later merged with Continental Airlines, and ultimately became the airline we know today as United Airlines. When he wasn't working, Henry cherished time spent with his family, creating countless loving memories that will be treasured forever.

Henry is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Gail Land; sons, Walter Land and his wife Sharon and Norman Land and his wife Gwen, and; daughters, Elaine Drake and her husband Clay, and Tonja Woytasczyk and her husband Jimmy. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Kathryn Nance and husband John, Lance Drake and wife Nikki, Aryn Jordan and husband Phillip, and Dwight Warren and wife Kelli; great-grandchildren, Henry Jordan, Charlie Jordan, and Kendalynn Warren; as well as extended family and a host of friends. Henry is preceded in death by his parents, James and Hatie Land; his brothers, James and Larry; his sisters, Mildred, Dene, Loma Gene, Dara, and Patsy.

Henry’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and service. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th from 12pm-1pm at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. A graveside service will follow at 2pm at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens in Cleveland with Bro. Jimmy Charles officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Dwight Warren, Lance Drake, Chris Delk, Clay Drake, Phillip Jordan, and John Nance.
