Thayer "Crickett" Purkerson

Thayer “Crickett” Katherine Purkerson, age 89 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016. She was born November 26, 1926 in North Fleet, Arkansas to parents Wesley Turney Bell and Mary Jane Bell who preceded her in death along with her husband, Louis William “L.W.” Purkerson; 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

Survivors include her daughter, Jane Kirby of Conroe, Texas; sons, Nathan Purkerson and wife Brenda of Cleveland, Texas, “T” Purkerson and wife Marvine of San Angelo, Texas; grandchildren, Bonnie Ward, Brian Purkerson, Kelsey Oliver, Mary Beth Purkerson, and Tyler Purkerson; 10 great-grandchildren; special friends, Dee Dempsey, Judy Broussard, and Lynetta Puckett, along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation is from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 8, 2016 at Purkerson Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
