Obituary for Terry Allen Boone

Terry Allen Boone, 66, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on October 15, 2024. Born on April 14, 1958, in Pasadena, Texas, he was the son of Lester Burleson Boone and Mary Hollingsworth Boone. Terry dedicated the last 50 years of his life to the Dayton area, where he forged deep connections and cherished memories.

A proud graduate of Dayton High School, Terry was known for his adventurous spirit. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time at the deer lease, always on the move and seeking new experiences. His passions extended to searching for arrowheads and old bottles, tending to his gardens, and enjoying his daily routine of watching "Wheel of Fortune," "The Price is Right," and classic westerns. With a sharp wit, he often took the lead in conversations, always ready with a clever comeback.

Terry was a devoted family man who  took great joy in spoiling his grandchildren: Noah Herrera, Nevaeh Ives, Kira Ives, and Isabella Herrera and adored his dogs, Sparky and Fiona. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Karren Boone; his son, Dustin Boone; daughter Valerie Herrera and her husband Daniel; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jim Fuson, Gary Fuson, and Mark Boone.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. A service will follow on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the same location, with burial to follow at Holly Grove Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.

Terry’s spirit and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
