Teodora Favela Torres, 85, of Galena Park passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017.
Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Chapel of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas.
Teodora was born June 2, 1932 in San Luis Potosí, Mexico to parents, Herminio Torres and Antonia Garcia Torres. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking, she was known to make the best tamales around town. Teodora also enjoyed needle work and had a “green thumb” for just about anything.
Mrs. Favela was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Silverio Favela; brother, Manuel Torres; sisters, Josefina Cano and Angela Torres Garcia; and her granddaughter, Vanessa Favela. She is survived by her children, Alicia Pedraza and husband Sergio, Rosa Taggart, Bacilio Favela, Maria Jimenez, Hipolito Favela, Rolando Favela and wife Amada, Maggie Adams and husband Robert, Francisco Favela and wife Deanna, and Jose Antonio Favela; brothers, Rosendo Torres and wife Amelia, and Jose Torres and wife Antonia; sisters, Margarita Torres and Julia Torres; brother-in-law, Amador Cano; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Dayton, Texas.
