Sybil Earlene Kenley Hollis, a dedicated retired nurse who worked at various medical facilities, peacefully passed away in Highlands, Texas. Born in Gouldbusk, Texas, on March 27, 1922, Sybil lived a fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many.
Sybil's passion for nursing not only defined her career but also exemplified her unwavering commitment to caring for others. Her expertise and compassion left a lasting impact on all those she encountered throughout her journey in the medical field.
Outside of work, Sybil found joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid fisherwoman and gardener, she appreciated the beauty of nature and found solace in its embrace.
Sybil also shared her love for the Lord Jesus with her children and was a charter member of Westbury Baptist Church in Houston, where her faith and sense of community thrived
Sybil will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children Jack Hollis, Jr. (Karin), Carol Donnell (Greg), and Paula Hollis (Sharon), along with her grandchildren Crystal Martinez (Tommy), Alan Donnell (Ronda), Ellen Hollis, Krista Hollis, Monica Blair (John) Loretta Noriega (Art) and Sam McIntyre. Great-grandchildren Ethan, Luke, Darion, Devin, Trevor, Trey, Felicity, Rebekah, Robert, Joshua, Jonah, Anthony (Pasquale) and Jenny and great-great-grandchild Ty. Also, her son-in-law Wilbur McIntyre and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A Graveside Service to honor and remember Sybil Earlene Hollis will be held at Earthman Memory Gardens in Baytown, Texas. The service will take place on Saturday, February 24th starting at 10:00 AM. It is a time to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman whose legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
