Sue Doris Shotwell

Sue D. Shotwell, age 93 of Riverside, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015. She was born February 18, 1922 in Hawthorn, Texas to parents, James Jordan and Rosanna Welsh Jordan, who preceded her in death along with her husband, William Ira Shotwell, III. She was a beloved mother and wife who loved life, but loved Jesus more than her own life and wanted to be with him more than anything else, then came her sacrifices for her family and friends every day before she thought of herself. She always put others first. Momma rest in peace with Jesus now. Survivors include her son, William Ira Shotwell and his wife Sherry, IV; grandchild, Katherine Lea Shotwell; nephews, Lucian Stohler, Jimmy Stohler, Jimmy Jordan, Charles Hubbard, and Chip Jordan; nieces, Roseanne Smith, Sharon Evans, Debbie Jordan, Anna Gayle Sewell, Frankie Uhyrek, Linda Jordan, and Jan Jordan; many cousins and other relatives. Dr. Don Shannon will preside over funeral services 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Coldspring, Texas. Interment will follow at Old Waverly Cemetery, Old Waverly, Texas.
