Steve Franklin Beeson Jr.

Steve Franklin Beeson was born July 26, 1930 in Conroe, Texas, passed away Monday July 08, 2013 in Coldspring, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Addie Beeson; his wife of 54 years Rita Darlene Beeson; an infant son Mark Anthony Beeson, one brother Melvin Beeson and five sisters Bernice Tolliver, Pauline Wilmoth, Irene Keen, Eldora Keen, and Mary Bell Keen. Mr. Beeson is survived by his daughter Kathleen Grinager, sons Steve Beeson, Curtis Beeson, Mark Beeson; his grandchildren all in the State of Washington; one brother Leonard Beeson of Coldspring; two sisters Bonnie Littlefield of Shepherd, Texas and Dorothy Nelson of Willis, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other cherished family members and faithful friends. A “Home Coming” service will be held Friday at 12:00 noon on July 12, 2013 at the United Pentecostal Church in Shepherd, Texas with Rev. Gregary Gerald and Rev. Adrain Littlefield officiating. A memorial service will be held next week at his final resting place beside his beloved wife at Calvary Cemetery, 5212 – 70th Street West, Tacoma, Washington. Mr. Beeson served in the U.S. Military and while stationed in Tacoma, Washington, he met his bride, whom he married in 1950, and raised their children there. He was a heavy equipment operator and owned his own company until his retirement. Mr. Beeson was an avid hunter and fisherman. He could hold your attention captive for hours telling “stories” about his “adventures”. His favorite by-word was “stupid”. Every story he told contained a reference to something “Stupid”. In 2011 he moved to Coldspring to live with his brother. Mr. Beeson was a former member of the Tacoma United Pentecostal Church in Tacoma, Washington, and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Shepherd, Texas at the time of his death. Mr. Beeson was known to his Texas family and friends as “Frank”, “Frank Jr.”, “Junior”, “Uncle Frank”, “Uncle Frankie” or “Uncle”. He will always be remembered as soft spoken, kind, gentle and tender hearted. The family of Mr. Beeson would like to thank his brother and caregiver Leonard Beeson, for his unconditional love, support, devotion, and care for the past two years.
