Stephen Lynn Massengill

Stephen Lynn Massengill, 67, of Dayton passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016.
Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 5, 2016 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jay Wash officiating. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation for Stephen will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2016 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.

Stephen was born June 14, 1949 in Beaumont, Texas to parents Bliss Massengill, Jr. and Ima Jean St. Clair Massengill. He graduated from Vidor High School in 1968 and served in the Army Airborne Division during Vietnam. Stephen enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being on the computer. He loved sports, especially the Dayton Broncos and was a proud member of “Senior Citizen Bleacher Creatures” at all the Dayton football games.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughters, LaTasha Joseph and Brittany Massengill; son, Stephen Glenn; sister, Jean E. Massengill Bockhorn; twin brother, Johnny Massengill, Sr.; grandchildren, Alexis Brown, Chris Groshon, Caleb Glenn, Cameron Glenn, and Maya Glenn; also numerous cousins, extended family, friends, and especially his fur babies.
