Stephen Glavosek, 84, of Dayton, died Monday, October 29, 2012, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital-Alexander Campus in Baytown. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2012, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Stephen was born January 22, 1928 in Painesville, OH, to parents; Stephen and Anna Dujam Glavosek, a former resident of Chardon, OH, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 15 years. He was a graduate of the Fairport Harbor High School and the Allied School of Mechanical Trades, a retired machinist for Coe Manufacturing Company, and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He also enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, gardening, and fishing. Mr. Glavosek was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: John, Frank, Paul, Joe, George, Carl, and Mike Glavosek, and sister: Anne Glavosek. He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Ruth Simmons Glavosek of Dayton, daughters: Michele Piendzik of Willoughby, OH, Susan Theiss and husband Leo of Dayton, TX, Patricia Cameron and husband Huck of Painesville, OH, Judy Osmond and husband Gary of Chardon, OH, and Denise Brooker of AR, son: Stephen G. Glavosek and wife Debbie of Deer Park, TX, sister: Lillian Slusser and husband Robert of Hernando, FL, 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
