Socorro Rodriguez, 76, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016, at a family residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial following at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Socorro was born June 7, 1939 in Mexico, to parents; Julian Salinas and Fidela Pena, a former resident of Alamo, and has resided in Dayton for the past seven years. She was a homemaker and attended the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She also enjoyed playing games, cards, and walks with her husband.
Mrs. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Abelardo Rodriguez, siblings: Eulogio, Enedelio, and Margarita Salinas, and grandson: Eduardo Garza. She is survived by her daughters: Guadalupe Rodriguez of Dallas, Silvia Rodriguez of Roman Forest, Josefina Rodriguez of Dallas, Yolanda Rodriguez of Dayton, Sonia Leal of Dayton, and Araceli Rodriguez of Dayton, sons: Xavier Rodriguez of Dallas and Gerardo Rodriguez of Galena Park, sister: Ignacia Salinas, numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
