Shirley Faye Pitts

Shirley Faye Baggett Pitts, 79, of Huffman, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at the Memorial Hermann NE Hospital in Humble. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the family residence of 905 Wood Branch, Huffman. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Shirley was born July 6, 1935 in Henderson, to parents; Gaylon Baggett and Easter Mae Griffith, a former resident of Louisiana, and has resided in Huffman for the past 20 years. She was a graduate of the Liberty High School class of 1953 and a homemaker. She also enjoyed trips to the casino, shopping, fishing, cooking, playing cards, and especially spending time with her family. Mrs. Pitts was preceded in death by her husband: Loren Pitts, father: Gaylon Baggett, mother: Easter Mae Griffith Jones, sister: Patsy Ruth Davis, and daughter-in-law: Susan Kornegay. She is survived by her daughters: Donna Roddy and husband John of Huffman, Tanya Yarbrough and husband Duncan of Huffman, Kathy McLemore and husband Roland of Huffman, Paula Fletcher and husband Mike of Huffman, and Brenda Reeves of Corpus Christi, sons: Randy Kornegay of Huffman and Brent Kornegay and wife Angel of Deer Park, sister: Barbara G. Cain of Liberty, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
