Sherry G. Robinson Martin, 69, of Dayton, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Day officiating. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Sherry was born August 8, 1943 in Liberty, to parents; O. L. Robinson and Lucille Hudgins, and has been a lifelong resident of Dayton. She was a graduate of the Dayton High School class of 1961, class of 61 representative for the Pioneer Association, and member of the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church and the Kenefick Activity Club. She also enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking, and square dancing. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her father: O. L. Robinson and mother: Lucille Hudgins Tucker. She is survived by her husband of 48 years: Will R. “Butch” Martin of Dayton, son: James Martin of Dayton, daughters-in-law: Elizabeth Winn and husband Bo of Crosby and Christine Martin of Channelview, brother: Harvey E. Robinson and wife Linda of Dayton, sister-in-law: Lenitta Martin of Dayton, grandchildren: Craig Winn, Annalise Martin, Zane Winn, Hope Winn, and Faith Winn, and numerous other relatives, and friends. In lieu of usual floral remembrances, the family requests that donations be made to the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church at 3536 FM 1008, Dayton, TX 77535, for the Rhonda Perk Fund.
