Shawnna Diann Godkin

Shawnna Diann Godkin, 55, of (Tarkington) Cleveland, Texas, passed away at her home on May 8, 2012. She was born Oct. 6, 1956 in Houston, Texas to James Franklin & Clo Florean Statham. She married Leeland Godkin on April 4, 1975 and along with tending to her family's needs, she worked as a church secretary and pianist. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Leeland Earl Godkin; by son, Matthew Aaron Godkin, of College Station; and daughter, Laura Elizabeth Godkin of Cleveland; by father, James Franklin Statham, Sr.; by sister, Aunita Kay Godkin of Cleveland; and brothers, James Franklin "Frank" Statham, II, and Mark Gregory Statham of Houston. A visitation and service will be held at Hi-Way Tabernacle Assembly of God, 108 Co.Rd. 2250, Cleveland, with the visitation starting Monday, May 14 from 5-8:00 p.m. and services celebrating her life at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, with Pastors Charles Stoker and Gene Summers officiating. She will be laid to rest in Brookside Memorial Cemetery, 13401 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX. Services are held under the direction of Carter Funeral Home in Houston, TX.
