Serenia Mae Taylor Fregia, 90, of Daisetta, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at a family residence in Bandera. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Guedry Cemetery in Batson. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Serenia was born November 16, 1922 in Daisetta, to parents; Gilbert G. and Emma Young Taylor, and has been a lifelong resident of Daisetta. She was a homemaker, Pentecostal by faith, and enjoyed cooking, and helping others. Mrs. Fregia was preceded in death by her father: Gilbert G. Taylor, mother: Emma Young Taylor, husband of 53 years: J. L. Fregia, daughter: Rose Tanner, great great-grandchild: Shae Tanner, and 15 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son: Billy Fregia and wife Susan of Silsbee, sister: Catherine Berryhill of Daisetta, brother: Nolan Taylor of Raywood, grandchildren: Sandra Brooks, Johnethan Tanner, Robert Tanner, Scott Tanner, Megan Williams, and Brittani McDonald, 12 great-grandchildren, 17 great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
