Selby Allen Hughes

Selby Allen Hughes, age 87 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017. He was born March 5, 1930 in Timpson, Texas to parents Allen Timpson and Bessie Era Hughes who preceded him in death along with his wife, Esther G. Hughes; brother, Howard Hughes; sister, Juanita Welch.

Survivors include his daughter, Janice M. Hughes; son, James A. Hughes; sisters, Dean Cousimano, Ruth Wagstaff and Diane Pugh; grandchildren; Cliff D. Betcher, Steven A. Hughes, and James K. Hughes; and great-grandchild, Grayson P. Betcher.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 10, 2017 at First Concord Baptist Church, Rye, Texas. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery, Rye, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Camp Hope at ptsdusa.org.
