Scotty Lynn Heflin, 70, of Seabrook passed away November 6, 2018. He was born March 4, 1948 in to parents Thomas A. Heflin and Doris Jean Henry Heflin.
Service for Scotty will be 4:00 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Day and Rev. Daniel Stanley officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday evening at Pace-Stancil. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Vance Bouchillon, Donald Clark, Sammy Cole, Ronnie Hutchins, Joe Wagoner, Bo Brown and Troy McCarthy.
Scotty grew up in Channelview where he attended school. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, was a longtime resident of Dayton and moved to Seabrook two and a half years ago. Scotty enjoyed life, was funny, charismatic, a jokester, and it has been said “there will never be another Scotty Heflin”. He was dedicated to his family, always worrying about them but most of all he enjoyed fishing with this grandsons.
Scotty was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Glenn and Craig Heflin; nephew, Carlton “Tater” Cox, Jr., and his step-daughter, Angel Stanley. He is survived by son, Jason Hoffpauir, step-sons, Brian Stanley and Daniel Stanley; grandchildren, Trent Hoffpauir, Trinity Hoffpauir, and Trayson Hoffpauir; sisters, Pat Wiggins and Debbie Cox and husband Carlton; nephews, Joe Wiggins, Aaron Wiggins, Tommy Heflin, Casey Ilfrey, and Morgan Allbritton; nieces, Gina Wiggins, Carla Cortinez and Crystal Cox, lifelong friend, Vance Bouchillon; also numerous other relatives and friends.
