Sandy Willis Collins, 64, of Dayton, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013, in Pasadena. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2013, at the Crosby Church with burial following at Palms Memorial Park in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Sandy was born July 4, 1949 in Houston, to parents; Roy Willis and Joyce E. Reynolds, a former resident of Pasadena, and has resided in Dayton for the past 34 years. She was a former bus driver for the Dayton ISD, and member of the Crosby Church and the church choir. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her father: Roy Willis, stepmother: Vonni Willis, and stepfather: Rev. George Lupo. She is survived by her husband of 37 years: Charles Collins of Dayton, daughter: Sonya L. Smith and husband Dominic of Huffman, son: Mark A. Collins and wife Shannon of Dayton, mother: Joyce E. Reynolds Lupo of Alvin, brothers: Eugene Willis of Port Arthur, Larry Willis of Pasadena, and Gary Willis of Pasadena, sisters: Darla Schrock of Friendswood and Lisa Lupo of Alvin, grandchildren: Gabrielle, Alexandra, Elizabeth, Kayla Rene’ Gonzales, Austin Morgan Smith, Noah Blake Smith, Tayriel, Tori, and Maci, her special companion and friend: Lady Haylee, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
