Sandra Cheryl Honea

Sandra Cheryl Honea, a devoted lover of flowers and a passionate gardener, gracefully departed from this world on June 28, 2023, at the age of 65. She was born on August 30, 1957, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Fred William Honea and Billie Josephine Cooper Honea.

For the past 27 years, Sandra had called the Old River-Winfree area her home, after residing in Huffman. She embraced the beauty of nature and found solace in nurturing her beloved garden. Her green thumb and love for flowers brought color and joy to her life.

Sandra's memory will forever be cherished by her loving companion of 14 years, Jay Pedersen, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Their bond was a source of strength and comfort, bringing happiness to both their lives.

Left to honor Sandra's memory are her siblings: Jerry Garrett and his wife Nina, Susan LeBlanc and her companion Kenny Perdue, and Fred Honea and his wife Jennifer. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Beverly Garrett, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Sandra was a loving sister, aunt, and friend, and her warm presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Fred William Honea and Billie Josephine Cooper Honea, as well as her beloved son, Joshua Honea, and her dear brother, Donald Garrett. While the pain of her absence weighs heavy on our hearts, we find solace in knowing that she has been reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.
