Sandra Darlene Howard

Sandra Darlene Pinkney Howard, 67, of Ames passed away August 16, 2018. She was born December 15, 1950 in Houston, Texas to parents Paul Pinkney and Dorothy Mayo Pinkney.

Services for Sandra will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday before the service.

Sandra had been a resident of Ames since 2012 after moving from Houston. She loved her family will be sorely missed by all that knew her. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Ray Howard, mother, Dorothy J. Deblanc, gather, Paul L. Pinkney, stepfather, Walter L. Deblanc, great-grandmother, Cora Lovick, great-grandfather, Moses Lovick, grandmother, Mittie Mayo, grandfather, Ivory Mayo, nephew, John Nathan Henry, nephew, Allen W. Bailey.

She is survived by children, Tia L. Howard Ambaya and husband Collins, Jason Howard and wife Monique, Aviva Howard McBride and husband John Cole, and Jonathan Winfield; twenty grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters: Regina L. Pinkney Norman, Beverly M. Brown, Cora L. Brown, Paulette Johnson and husband Samuel Johnson, and Jeanne Wiggins and husband Michael Wiggins; brothers: Marvin E. Brown, Reginald Brown and wife Evangelina Brown, Terrance Brown and wife Maria Brown; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
