Ruth Evelyn Vinas

Ruth Evelyn Paulson Vinas, 90, of The Woodlands, Texas, passed away February 8, 2014. Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Lionel “Rip” A. Vinas, infant son, Richard, stepson, Capt. Gary Vinas, granddaughter, Jillian Rose Vinas, son, Jim A. Vinas, and son-in-law, Edgar R. Tapley. Survivors include adult children: Lionel A. Vinas, Jr. and wife Sydney, daughter-in-law, Patty Vinas, daughter, Ruth Ann Tapley, John A. Vinas and wife Roseann, Thomas R. Vinas and wife Lori, Diane Dahmann and husband Douglas, Paul F. Vinas and wife Elizabeth, and Elethia Yetman and husband Christopher. Twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. Ruth had many friends in Cleveland, Texas, especially the wonderful ladies that she worked with at the Altar Society at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. We honor her special friends Catherine Grawl and LJ and Sue Novosad. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pace Stancil Chapel. Rosary and Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Porter, Texas.
