Rudy “The Bug” Zaruba, IV, 23, of Houston, died Saturday, December 18, 2010, at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at the St. Joseph’s the Worker Catholic Church in Dayton with burial following at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday, with rosary services at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Rudy was born January 27, 1987 in Houston, to parents; Rudy, III and Mary Elizabeth Routh Zaruba, and has resided in the Houston area throughout his life. He was a graduate of the Cy-Creek High School, was attending trade school, a volunteer and cook for the Salvation Army, a SKA fishing tournament champion, and a baseball pitcher with a 95 mph fastball. He also enjoyed playing XBOX and rummy, cooking, shopping, and arm wrestling. Mr. Zaruba was preceded in death by his brother: Grant Zaruba and uncle: Kip Zaruba. He is survived by his parents: Rudy, III and Mary Routh Zaruba of Houston, brothers: Gavin and Chase Zaruba of Houston, grandparents: Rudy, II and Barbara Zaruba of Dayton and Harry and Cynthia Routh of Houston, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
