Ruby Smith

Ruby Smith, 82, of Liberty died Tuesday, January 7, 2014. She was born September 13, 1931 to parents Jack and Nona Jennings Raiford. She was a lifelong resident of Baytown before moving to this area 20 years ago. Mrs. Smith enjoyed bird watching, reading and genealogy. Memorial service for Mrs. Smith will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, husband Homa Horace “Bill” Smith, Jr., son Homa Horace “Hal” Smith, III, granddaughter Alesha Smith, and brother Lloyd Raiford. She is survived by daughter: Kimmie Juarez and husband Manuel of Dayton; sons: Mike Smith and wife Claire of Washington State and Dale Smith of Fannette, Texas; grandchildren: Michelle, Eric, Mandy, Lanie, Damian, Ethan, Sabrina, Keri, Joshua, Joey, Timothy, Eric, Derick, and Katy; also numerous great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
