Rosy Lee Jordan

Rosy Lee Jordan, age 92 of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018. She was born February 16, 1926 in Magnolia, Texas to parents Clinton and Mary Burke Smith who preceded her in death along with her husband, Gilbert Ray Jordan; sons, Albert Ray Jordan, David Carol Jordan, Edwin Hilton Jordan and Marvin Wesley Jordan; brothers, Oscar Smith, Leslie V. Smith and George Clinton Smith; and sisters, Eva Mae Moody, Bessie Mae Martin, Dillie Mae Swanner, Bonnie Faye Brineger and Linnie Lee Franklin.

Rosy was a woman of great faith, and loved going to church. She made the best pineapple upside down cake from scratch. Rosy also enjoyed fishing, flowers and gardening, but more than anything else, she loved her family.

Survivors include her sons, Vernon Lee Jordan and wife Elizabeth, Simon Carol Jordan and wife Gail, Allen Jordan and wife Tammy, Robert Edward Jordan, Howard Gilbert Jordan and wife Valerie, Harold Rosy Jordan and wife Sharon; daughters, Geraldine Smith, Murlene Rouse and husband Bill, Marilyn Rose Gray and husband Calvin; sister, Velora Douglas Amos; 77 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel. Interment will follow at Wells Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
