Rosemary Mellott

Rosemary Mellott, age 75, a resident of Splendora, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 09, 2012 at her home. She was born August 22, 1937 in Glasgow, Scotland to parents William Kirkpatrick McTaggart and Helen Arnott McTaggart who preceded her in death along with her grandson Raymond Jr. Mellott; and her brother Harry McTaggart. Rosemary was a graduate of Coatbridge College in Scotland; she retired from State Farm Insurance after 25 years of dedicated service. Rosemary lived life with beauty and grace and a heart full of love. She was a loving mother, tireless grandmother, devoted sister, and steadfast friend. She was kind and giving, sweet and tender hearted, and deeply devoted to her family. She enjoyed playing Bingo, knitting and sewing, and shopping for her family. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. She leaves her memories to her husband George Mellott; daughter Shirley Mellott Hudnott; sons Raymond Mellott, Christopher Mellott and William Mellott; sister Helen Powell; brother John Hagan; grandchildren Katrina, Michelle, Rachel, Angel, Matthew, David, Danny, Daniel, Alex, and Willie Jr.; great-grandchildren Alexis, J.J. and Bubba; niece Dawn Powell; son-in-law Gary Hudnott; daughters-in-law Sandra Mellott and Veronica Mellott; and faithful friends beyond measure. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service starting at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Funeral services will start at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2012 in the Pace-Stancil Chapel with interment immediately following at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens. Pallbearers include William Mellott, Christopher Mellott, Douglas Gips, Danny Aguilar, Jose Carranza, and Danny Mellott.
